Anyone up for playing Jazz standards? (I play bass - Chris R.)

I played in the Jazz band at college and loved it! Do you have some charts that would be good for trio/quartet (still needing a keyboardist!!)? (CW)

I was thinking to just pick a few standards, depending on the interest, Real Book style. (CR)

Absolutely! I play keyboards and used to play out of the Real Book in my former band. I'll plan on packing it. My wish list would have to include My Funny Valentine, All Blues, Black Orpheus, Four, A-Train... (DP)

We have a vocalist willing to do Bye Bye Blackbird (medium fast swing tempo). We'll bring charts. -> Chris

Hey Chris, how about we try Blue Bossa with Bill Rodrick? -> Tarcio.

I used to play Blue Bossa all the time. It's in the Real Book, Key of C minor. (DP)

I'm very rusty on this stuff, but can probably handle Blue Bossa in Cm, and maybe some other tunes (All Blues, maybe Green Dolphin Street in C, All the Things You Are in Ab). I can bring a Real Book, but can't promise to play well ;-) (especially if the rented guitars are "set up" as they usually are in stores) - Bill R
